Privacy notice
This is the short version because the honest version is short. Dither hasn't launched yet. The only thing this site does is hold a single-field form so you can tell us where to send one email when it's ready.
What we collect
If you enter your email and press notify me, we store exactly two things:
- Your email address.
- The timestamp of when you submitted it.
That's it. No IP address, no user-agent, no cookies, no tracking pixels, no analytics.
Why we collect it
To send you one email when the Dither app is available. That email is the only reason the list exists. If you signed up, you'll get that message. You will not get newsletters, promos, surveys, "we miss you" emails, or launch-partner cross-promotions.
Where it lives
Your email is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database in the European Union. Cloudflare is our only processor for this site. We do not share, sell, rent, syndicate, or otherwise pass your email to any third party.
How long we keep it
Until we send the launch email, plus no more than 30 days afterwards. After that, the waitlist is deleted. If you'd like to keep getting product updates after launch, you'll be able to opt in explicitly — we will not import the waitlist into any ongoing mailing list.
Your rights
Under the GDPR (and equivalent regulations), you have the right to ask us what we hold about you, correct it, export it, or delete it. Given the data in question is one email address and a timestamp, we can answer any of those requests quickly and completely.
To exercise any of those rights, email hello@chromaticvoid.com with the word privacy in the subject. Reply time is usually within a few days.
Changes to this notice
When Dither launches we will publish a longer privacy policy covering the app itself (audio recordings, accounts, and so on). That is a separate document and will be linked from the app and this site. This notice covers only the coming-soon waitlist.
